Top Warung Uluwatu sits perched along the rugged coastline of Jl. Pantai Suluban, making it a favored cafe spot for those seeking laid-back vibes paired with striking ocean views. This is the kind of place where mornings start with sunlight spilling over the water, perfect for breakfast and a coffee while watching surfers ride the waves below.

The atmosphere is casual yet thoughtfully arranged, with seating both at the waterside level and an elevated viewing deck that offers expansive views of the sunset. The natural surroundings play a big part in the experience—expect the occasional challenge of navigating steep steps to reach the venue, common for this stretch of Uluwatu’s coastal cafes. Visitors often come early to snag prime spots, especially on sunny afternoons.

Locals and travelers alike appreciate the fresh, well-prepared food that leans into Indonesian classics and familiar favorites like Nasi Goreng and Pad Thai noodles, which have earned consistent praise for their quality and portion size. While service may sometimes juggle pacing—such as drinks arriving after meals—it tends to be warm and attentive, helping guests settle into the relaxed tempo of the place.

The vibe suits those who enjoy a slower pace, people-watching, and soaking in the natural beauty beyond just a meal or drink. It’s particularly popular with morning crowd seeking a hearty breakfast with a view, as well as evening visitors aiming to catch the sunset while lounging with friends or family.

Fun local quirks add personality—monkeys are known to be cheeky visitors, occasionally making off with treats like avocado toast if you’re not careful. This cheeky element, combined with the ocean breeze and surf sounds, rounds out an experience that feels very much tied to Uluwatu’s coastal charm rather than a polished tourist trap.

Amazing view! Great place to watch the surfers. Prices are very reasonable. Service a little slow (food arrived before drinks) but otherwise really friendly. Ordered the guacamole but the chips were a little impractical as scoops (maybe switch to shrimp crackers?). Would come back.

Top place to watch the sunset. Get there early and grab a table by the water. There is also a large viewing deck above the restaurant for even better views. Kitchen looked clean and the food was excellent quality. Best Pad Thai Noodles I have ever tasted. Highly recommend. Just beware there are steep steps to access this place, as well as all the other cafes and bars along the coast.

Absolutely loved the food here! Everything was fresh, flavorful and beautifully served. The staff were polite and made sure we had everything we needed. The portion sizes were perfect, and the price was totally worth it. Definitely coming back soon

Edit 07/2025 : Came back a year later and nothing has changed. The staff is super kind and cooking amazing breakfast, all with the best view possible. Be aware of monkeys coming to steal your avocado toasts — 08/2024 : Great place with an amazing view Perfect for breakfast

Perfect spot to watch the beautiful Uluwatu waves and the super cool surfers that ride them! The view here is great and the food is just as good. I've been in Bali for a while and this place had the best Mie Goreng I've ever had. While their menu is nothing exciting, pretty standard local and western breakfast options, their food is reliable and good to eat while wave watching. Though please be wary of monkeys! They definitely come here and mess around on the tables until the staff come to chase them away so be mindful of your belongings.

This place is a hidden gem. So many people go upstairs to the Single Fin when there are several locally operated places just down the stairs. Food is great and prices are much more reasonable than the fancy places. Be a little more local! Take some steps down. Bring a flashlight with you if visiting at night though, the steps can get a little tricky
